The Council has also announced a workshop to take place May 9-10 for us as a community to shape the future together for First United. We had our launch meeting for this process on March 10 and are off to an exciting start. We will be supported by two external consultants with years of experience in process design for building healthy communities and organizations. Jean Ogilvie, from the Aeshna Project, with a 30-year career in facilitation and coaching, is based locally, and Dr. John Scherer, an international expert on Organizational Effectiveness will be contributing to the design. Guiding us in the design of the workshop, Jean and John will help us focus on the future we collectively want for our church and through a highly participatory process, we will be calling on the voices of all participants to give shape to what we want to become. Everyone is welcome to attend.
This is a very important event as First moves into the future. We encourage you to come to the whole event. If you can’t come to everything, please come to as many sessions as you can.
