Danielle Rolfe with the support of Brian Cornelius are inviting members of the First United community (and beyond) to engage in spirit-focused conversations with others in our community of faith who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, a Person of Color, or another related identity.
This virtual gathering (for now) is offered in the spirit of creating a safe space to connect with others, to get to know each other as members of the First community and beyond, and to engage in supportive conversation. Whether this gathering will lead to just being a warm and welcoming community, or will evolve to include opportunities for social action, and/or the education of others about race, will be discerned collectively. The intention is to build a community where we can share our diverse and shared experiences, discuss race and ethnicity openly, or as the backdrop to other conversations about our individual and collective faith journeys.
If participation in such a group is of interest to you, please reply to this email, or contact Danielle (daniellerolfe@yahoo.ca) or send an email to Brian if you would like more information.
